Headliner Cloth Coming Off

My headliner cloth is coming off near the back window right at the edges.

I've heard that glues and adhesive solutions do not work in this situation so what should I do before it comes a problem?
 
What make and year of car is it? In most cases the problem is caused by deterioration of the foam padding under the cloth. You'll find the foam crumbling, so there's no bond between the cloth and the shell. There's no good solution except replacement. Anything else will just postpone the eventual overall failure. Sorry-been there a few times.
