Admittedly, I have not used many compounds and polishes (M105/205 and CG V-Series) and I'm wondering if there's a compound that cuts really well and doesn't dust; or dusts very little.

Any suggestions? Any advice on keeping the dust levels low or is it something of a necessary evil?

M100, M101, scholl S2, Menzerna fg 400... As long as you don't buff dry all of these will work relatively cleanly (especially compared to m105)....

I appreciate the responses! I know it's late, but the forum wouldn't let me access this page for a few days.

I've had nothing but success with Griot's other products, so the next time I'm buying, I'll try that. M105 is awesome, but the dust is ROUGH.

I have used Meguiars M101 with great success, the product has been forgotten about since its introduction a couple years ago, rock solid product. I used it on my then new Abarth and it blew me away, knocked out the minor swirls I had before applying coating.

M101 will make you a believer, trust me!

They all have the potential to dust - at least the products I've used.

Shadwell is right though. Don't over work the compound, and you should be good.

I'm using Meguiar's M100, Ultimate Compound, and Rupes Zephyr.

Sonax Cutmax has yet to dust on me. Best compound I've used to date

Do you like M100 or Zephyr more? And what about M100 vs M101?

BOSS Fast Correcting Creme is one of the easier ones I've worked with. I didn't have any dusting

I'm not sure how much cut Megs D300 has, but it's also nice to work with

Griots Garage Fast Correcting Compound! The lack is dust is one of the main reasons I use it over other compounds.

Plenty when used with microfiber cutting disc. Love the D300.

I've found giving the pad a quick spritz of water cuts down on a lot of the dusting after you've primed your pad. CarPro fixer dusted like crazy for me even with just three dots on the pad until I started doing that.
