I have a car coming up with heavy oxidation. I did a test spot with the griots system on polish 1 and it took several passes before the oxidation to be removed. Wondering what products you guys would recommend to remove it with just one pass. Pad? Polish?

I have only used griots orange pad, what LC pad would that be comparable to?

Sent from my SGH-i917 using Board Express

If it is oxidation and not CCF I would recommend using Megs Ultimate Compound and an Orange or White pad on the GG6 at speed 4-4.5... Check out this thread as that is what I did and the owner was so happy with the job...

He actually didn't recognize his car!

My civic looks like it was washed with a brillo pad. original finish from 1994...now, the tricky part on establishing if it still has clear is this: i used a little meg's 105 on a rag, polished the fender. the rag was BLOOD RED(car's color) but the finish where i tried 105 gleamed...so is the clear gone? or???

I'm pretty sure but not 100% that the 94 civics were single stage paint

almost all Red cars in the honda and acura lines were ss until sometime around 2000
