Retired now and keen learning a few tricks to take care of my black Toyota . Now planning to get a new buffer ( gg6? ) and Lake Country thinpro pads....appreciate input on this .

If I was to get a single buffer I think I would go for the GG 21mm or the GG 15mm. The long throws really increase the performance of the buffer and after using the Rupes 21mm for a year I can't see myself going back to a 8mm throw buffer like the GG6 or any of the other ones.

I just checked and the Rupes polishers are on special right now. The 21ES is a beast, but it will struggle on curves panels, so the 15ES might be a better choice if you only are gonna be using a single machine.

If your budget only allows for a 8mm buffer then yes, the GG6 is the best bang for the buck you can get.

What ever your choice will be, happy shopping and polishing ;)

Thanks a lot for a different perspective on investing the right tool.. I will take a good look on these options. So for an inexperienced guy , the models are ok ? Thx again.

Thanks Calendyr and Mike ......:dblthumb2:

Yes go for the 21. The finish it provides over the GG6 is superior and you would clearly see it on black. Do it right the first time.

Thanks ...guess sticking with the 5 inches backing plate n 5.5 inches pads ?
