i just purchased a portacable 7424xp, klasse aio polish, pinnacle bodywork shampoo, wolfgang fuzion estate wax. I was wondering wat would be good pads to get i dont have any (first time using a polisher) be gentle. thank you guys for the advice.

get a 3 pack of LC flat 5.5 pads colors white gray and blue.
white & Gray for klasse
Blue for fuzion

im working on a dodge ram 2007 i clay it and wax it paint is good i think lol

The 2007 Dodge Ram's are really easy to work on. They tend to accept most polishes and give good results with minimal struggle. I had one until about 9 months ago and it turned out top notch with megs 105/205 followed by menzerna 85rd. I did the work with a makita rotary most the time, but was able to get 90% of stuff out with ccs pads and a gg da.

what size pads? for 5.5in pads get a 5in hook and loop backing plate from LC or if you bought the 6.5 in pads get a 6in backing plate

As may have already indicated, the 5 1/2 diameter pads are the best choice for the Porter Cable 7424 style polisher. I use the Lake Country 5 1/2" Flat Pads on mine and there's a huge difference in performance over the 6 1/2" pads.
