Hey everyone! My name is Dan and I'm from the south side of Chicago, IL. Around here we have some ridiculous weather and my car is parked outside year round so it takes some serious abuse. I used to have a Silverstone 350z and now drive an '08 Accord V6, Belize Blue Pearl. I love the car but Honda's soft paint kind of sucks. The guy I got it from did a lot of highway driving so the rock chips are horrendous. I used Dr. Colorchip to fill a lot of them in, worked amazing by the way and I will be doing round 2 shortly after it gets a nice detail. I've read and watched almost every starter video on the site and am hoping it's enough to do a decent job on my first real detail. I work at a Car Wash/Detail shop now and have for the last 7 years but I'm getting tired of the swirl-a-thon and ready for some ONR and waterless wash products to use now that I live in a condo. I just ordered about $400 :O worth of products on this awesome super sale and I am ready to start. I will make a thread showing my progress on the detail.

My order:

5 Gallon Professional Wash Bucket w/Grit G
One Free Sample Per Order
8 oz. Meguiars Mirror Glaze #105 Ultra-Cut C
8 oz. Meguiars Mirror Glaze #205 Ultra Finis
128 oz. Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine
16 oz. BLACKFIRE Gloss Enhancing Polish
16 oz. BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond All Finish Paint
16 oz. 303 Aerospace Protectant
Porter Cable 7424XP & Pad Kit
CCS Spot Buff Kit
Mothers Genuine Lambswool Wash Mitt
2 Qty 4 oz. Pinnacle Ultra Poly Clay
Detailer's Polishing Pad Rejuvenator

Thanks for having me and if anyone has any questions about Dr. Color Chip or swirl-a-thons, I mean touch-less tunnel washes just let me know!

It's amazing how the best way to remove swirls is to stand a few feet away!

I love the CR-Zs. I was actually looking at them before I got the Accord but after having the 350z I just needed a little more power. I thought the CR-Z had a pretty nice blue though? Yeah north shore blue pearl is offered this year, may not have been offered when you got yours though. Still can't go wrong with silver, I loved the silver on the Z.

Thanks for all the kind welcomes guys! Lots of people from Chicagoland area!!

Thank you! I love that Z06. I always told myself the ONLY car I could ever get in yellow was a Corvette.

I'm new to this forum, but not to forums in general and I believe a good introduction is a respectful way to enter the community.
