Hello everyone, I posted a couple times on here and never fully introduced myself. I started detailing about 7 years ago and just recently got back into it as it is something I really enjoy. I'm on here every single day reading and learning new techniques to improve in my hobby of the art, which I would love to turn into a profession. Right now I'm working for a high end dealer detailing of course. I can't get into the specifics of how it's done, but I'm sure you all know. Maybe me and 2 other guys who really take it seriously as we do our best to produce good results. That's aside the other hacks lol. Kind of hard when product is limited therefore making the job much harder. I do take what I learn here and use it while I'm at work to better my craft though. Everyone here has been great, helpful and respectful as to every ones skill level. AG Rocks!!!!

Thanks for sharing that little tidbit as it completely vindicates what I wrote here,

The story of 3 H's - Horrendous, Horror Story and Hack Detailers...

Here's the pertinent excerpt...

Knowingly
At one point in my life I called on body shops, dealerships and detail shops to conduct product training, during another point in my life I called on these same types of shops to conduct sales and here's the deal... I met plenty of "detailers" and also "Painter's Helpers", that knew they were instilling swirls as a result of their buffing work but there was nothing they could do about it outside of quiting.

In these situations, these are employees provided products and tools by the company and their job is to do the best they can with what they are given.
I know for a fact that many of these people knew they were doing hack work and didn't like it but the situation they were in was out of their control.

Sad truth is, most of have had jobs we didn't like but did them out of neccassity... If this hasn't happened to you... count your blessings...

Keep up the good work my good man and try to help bring others a little further up the road...

:)
