Hello Everyone,

New to Autogeek, but not to loving great cars. If anyone is aware of some local detail classes or events I would like to know about it. I drive a Cayman S and the wife drives a 550i.

Thanks,

Jack "Swony"

Hello Jack!

:welcome: To Autogeek Online!! :dblthumb2:

Hey! I'm isaiah and I live in Houston/Humble Texas. I haven't really found any myself. But I will be checking.

I live around Houston as well down in the coast. Ive been looking into getting some classes but cant seem to find any :( . Maybe if we put our resources together we can find someting?

Welcome to another HTown member!

There are classes, but you would have to travel outside the city and state for those classes. I believe Mike Phillips host those classes on occasion. Another one I would love to attend is Todd Cooperiders class in OH. Chemical Guys do classes on the weekends at their facility in CA. Other then reading a lot of watching videos, I find the best way is to do it yourself.

Welcome to autogeek. Check and see if there are any chemical company's in your area that produce any products for auto detailing or car washes sometimes these kind of places will offer detailing classes to introduce people to their products.

Howdy and welcome to the forums! I'm no Mike, but would be down to come over for a day to teach a small group if you wanted to learn. I love to help people that care enough to learn how to maintain their car. I live near Beaumont so I'm not to far. Just hit me up, or sign up for Mikes classes and although I've never been to one of his I'm sure they are first rate.

I'd definitely be interested in that some day. Detail day Houston!

THanks everyone for your welcome and thoughts. Great idea to look for possible chem companies in the area given the number of those we have. Will do. Maybe those of us in the area can arrange a Sat AM "Coffee and Clean" get together to meet, see the cars, and exchange ideas and info? Has Mike put together sub-set lists of the members by state?

My car club usually goes but it is way too far for me to go on a Saturday morning. Im down for a AG mini meet.
