hey guys i am new here and would like to introduce myself. my name is brad and im from iowa... i am an avid detailing enthusiast and enjoy cleaning cars. i have been cleaning cars for hertz for a little over 7 years now but just recently got into the real deep detailing stuff so im still a major newbie. :)

i have always enjoyed detailing my cars but always just used off the shelf items and am basically just self taught.

some of the stuff i have read here just blows my mind. ive been doing things wrong for many years. i am here to learn and hopefully one day provide advice!

my goals include having a side business of vehicle detailing one day. then maybe if successful enough possibly for full time work. i realize i have tons of things to learn so go easy on me! hehe

anyways... here's some pictures of my 1998 cavalier z24 ive owned since 2005. its pretty much a show car to me but i do drive it quite often. its been sitting for a few years though going under the knife for suspension and engine work. one of these days it will get done!

let me know what you think...

welcome to AGO!

I see some nitrous solenoids and plumbing into your intake... what kind of "jetting" are you using and is it WOT or is it actuated by button?

I am all about keeping a vehicle nice but I really love reading about performance stuff. =)

thanks guys! very glad to be here!

the nitrous setup is made by nitrous express and is a universal wet gm EFI kit. it came with jets (or "pills") to run from a 35 shot all the way up to a 150 shot. i played it safe to begin with and chose the 35 shot LOL. the engine was rebuilt but i still didnt want to risk it. the new engine im building should be fine with a 100 shot.

the "injector" you see in the intake pipe is called a "shark" nozzel and provides both nitrous as well as fuel.

i tried running the WOT switch but it just was not working out for the way i wanted to use it so i ditched it in favor a "go baby go" button. ill probably get an actual TPS switch to do WOT again in the future or maybe even hook it up to my MSD DIS 2 box to come on at a certain rpm. we'll see...

realistically, since the car is an auto and a small shot it probably was only making around 180whp with the nitrous. so not a lot but still enough to probably dip into the mid 14's with it.

oh wow if you are giving me compliments, mike i feel very honored.

thanks a lot!

looks professionally done to me. I guess you did learn a little something over the last 7 years. Nice job.
