Hello,

I came across this website while actually surfing youtube.

I own 2 cars: an 01 maxima - sherwood green and an 01 bmw 330ci - titanium silver.

I have been looking to do a complete polish, buffing etc to my maxima ever since i bought it last year since it has some swirls on it. Since I bought my bmw new I have been very careful with it not to intrduce swirls etc.

I was looking to buy the PC 7424 when I saw the videos for it on youtube which lead me here :)

I have to say this is a great website. I have not seen another site so well dedicated to auto detailing in such simplistic layout and ease of use!

I have already gained a lot simply reading the already posted messages.

I will be trying to buy myself a b'day gift this week (my b'day is tomorow :)), and hopefully I go for the right tool. Right now I'm debating between the PC and the UDM. (Sorry cant afford the Flex). I would like to save some for the complete set of pads and polishes.

Welcome to AG and Happy Birthday too! Get the UDM and a set of pads with SIP and 106FF and some MF's to start out, and also some pad conditioner and a cleaning brush for your pads and from there you could start to practice on a panel and also get use to a machine. Happy Polishing!

I noticed there are periodic sales on the site. Do you suggest I should wait for one of them or just go ahead and place the order?

Also, is there a link to basically understand the acronyms folks use on the forum here?

I did speak with Dwayne this afternoon... and placed an order for the UDM intro kit !! woo hoo...

The list is:
UDM intro kit with the pads and pad cleaner/conditioner.
Menzerna intro kit with swirl removal polish and final polish.
Pinnacle liquid Souveran concours kit.
Plus goodies like new microfiber towels, applicator pads :)

Dwayne said it will ship out tomorrow and be here friday, cant wait to get to work over the weekend.
