Hi my name is Derek and Im new here. I have always liked to detail my car and these forums have taught me alot! Thanks to all of you. Now that my schedule has opened up (lost my job, damn Michigan economy) I have been thinking about detailing to make some money. I like doing it so why not do what I like right:dblthumb2:

sorry to hear about the job lose. ive had my mobile detail biz going on 3 years now and have loved every bit of it. But it def has to be something you love doing or it will get old very quick (just ask the 5 ppl i had hired and now back to working by myself) But this forum is filled with great ppl with alot of know how and willing to help.

Derek, welcome to AG. I am across the river from you in Windsor (and down the I-75 for an hour, LOL). I hope your situation improves job wise. There are several successful detailers in Michigan. Jason at Motor City is very successful.
