Hello all! It's about time I join instead of just lurking around the forums. I have a SSM 1999 Acura TL that my brother and I (he owned it before I did) have been trying to keep in good condition. The car has never been touched by a polisher since my brother owned it:buffing:, but the car has always been washed at least once a week. I have ATTEMPTED to hand polish it but it's a PITA so i try to spot polish only the more visible scratches since it's somewhat less apparent on silver. Car does get clayed and wax at least 4 times a year with mg NXT 2.0. I am hoping to learn A LOT more about detailing with a DA, which i intend on ordering soon (hopefully ill make the 15% and free shipping) for the try and achieve the perfect shine!

I've been to Milwaukee! It's what I would call a "fun" city, especially during the summer. There always seems to be something going on.

I've used the NXT 2.0. I like it, but I've come to the opinion that there are probably better products out there. Like you, I'm about to start detailing using a DA. Still haven't decided on which one yet though. The free shipping and 15% discount is such a huge draw, but what am I going to do with a DA in the middle of winter? Practice on the kitchen table? lol
 
I think Milwaukee is better to visit than to live lol. I just am not a fan of the winters.

Mustang81, I am sure there are a lot better wax than NXT 2.0. Its just that its readily available at stores and since the car has not seen a full detail with a polisher, it somewhat satisfied me. I need to order it now before i spend the money on something else lol

Since I don't ride anymore and haven't kept up....What's the latest word on HD staying in Milwaukee, or moving their manufacturing off-shore? Or has that decision already been finalized? Thanks.

Thanks to all! Can't wait for spring to melt the snow away so i can start detailing again!

FUNX725, HD is still in Milwaukee. The Union reached a contract settlement and is staying here (last I've heard). I am currently attending the local University, and we have a lot of students doing interns and co-ops with HD.
