Hi! My name is Ted and I love this Forum! I've always been the guy with the cleanest car, but I have to tell ya, this forum has taught me a lot! Such great info!

I've been using Meguiar's products for years. I also really like Griot's Garage products. Since learning about this forum, all the rules have changed! Many more products to try!

I see lots of high end exotic cars posted here, but I have an old school car you might like. It's a 1967 Ford Fairlane 500XL. All done in ProTouring setup. 347 stroker. 453 HP. 18" wheels. 13" Wilwood 6-piston front discs. 12" Wilwood 4-piston rear discs. Heidt's Superide front IFS power rack kit. Heidt's rear 4-link kit. Paint is about 15 years old. All trim and interior are original, non-restored.

Fun car to drive. Very fast, handles great and stops awesome. We've named her "Project Scarelne". Here's a quick vid of her running:

Anyway....thanks for all of the great info. Looking forward to learning much more! :buffing:

Nice car and welcome from another Minnesotan. Heck, I drive through Otsego nearly every day.

Are you on Lateral-G.net or Protouring.com by chance?

I'm on ProTouring.com, lots of sick rides on there!

Thanks much!

As you can see, my Fairlane has quite a bit of billet aluminum pieces. Lots of work to keep it looking nice. What do you guys like to use?

I've used Mothers Aluminum and Billet Polishes, Flitz, Blue Magic Metal Polish Cream, Meguiar's and a few others that I can't remember right now.

I ordered some Optimum Metal Polish from AG last night.

Man this forum is awesome! So much information! Almost too much.

One suggestion please. I need an abbreviation guide! HA! I actually have a notebook next to my Mac and I write them all down as I figure them out! My wife thinks I'm nuts! She is partially right, as I am an auto detail AutoGeek!!

Believe me, for a new guy it's really confusing at first!

Here is another video. This was taken November 2010 on one of our first start ups. Idle is a bit high, but fun to hear anyway!!
