Hey everyone, Keith here. I go by my ECKO, my nickname given to me when I was 8 years old.
Anyway, I am not new to detailing. I am really OCD about my cars but I've never really got into the polishing aspect, which is why I am here. I am trying to gobble up as much information as I can to learn the proper way to do it. I just ordered a PC 7424XP, Lake County 3" & 5"backing plates, Lake County cutting and polishing pads, Chemical guys V36 & V38, Menzerna SF4500, JetSeal 109 and V7 Sealant spray, Iron X , AeroSpace 303, Sonax window cleaner, Maguire's clay as well as some more microfibers from my goto place at theragcompany.com. For the price I feel their Waffle weave and blue edgeless, are as good as most mf's out there, including the Zaino borderless blonde.
I am 38, with kids. My eldest graduates high school and I'm getting her ready for college. I also have a 16 year old, who just got her first car and a 11 year old son.
I drive over a hour for work so I bought a '14 Hyundai Veloster 1.6T to save on gas mileage and I really enjoy the car but it has some crazy angled body panels. It looks like it will be a pain to polish so I am looking for some information on how to do that. If anyone has tips on that please feel free to give me your tips and tricks.
Other than that, I am glad to be here. I have been a AG.com customer for several years but just now looking at the forum. I am not new to forums so I know how most of the rules go. Just happy to be here and learn from guys/gals with more polishing knowledge than me.
I've attached a pic of my Veloster from a meet in Cleveland last summer. Mine is Boston Red on the end. As we speak I've got my headlights cracked open to upgrade all the LEDs, and paint the inner bezels. Should look great when they are done.
Sorry for the long post. Everyone have a great day.
