Hi everyone, my name is Brae.
Wow! Such a massive community of enthusiasts here! I've always been a bit of a car cleaner, but it's only been the last couple of years I've stepped it up a bit. Sadly there's not really any detailing courses in New Zealand & all my skills have been through reading forums, watching videos & trial & error. Meguiars here have a polishing course they show on there website & when I put my name forward to do it it took about a year to happen & I was the only one there! It only happened due to me putting the pressure on to get it done. The only thing I really learnt was having confidence to use a rotary buffer. Since then I've practiced a lot on my own cars & done a few now for other members in my car club. Still a lot I need to learn though. And that's one reason why I'm travelling to the States! I've been accepted to do Todd Cooperider's class later this year. Just wish I could travel around & do other classes like Mike's boot camp. Anyway, I'll leave you with a teaser of the last job I did!

Haere Mai! I lived in the South Island for 10 years up until 2010. Still call it home.

Welcome Brae! And you tease us with a bloody red Lotus! More...more!

Seriously, welcome to a wonderful community full of extremely valuable information. I love the international reach this passion has.

Welcome Mr.Shiny, nice Lotus! Does it have the normal red or the red that has the gold pearl in it?

Thanks guys! I'll get some more pics up as soon as I work out how to insert them into the message without being thumbs. Also I'd love to attach the original size pic but I read that they want them to be about 800x600 pixels. The problem when I resize the pics the quality is drastically reduced & the picture loses it's sharpness. I wonder if I would be allowed to keep original picture size but only attach as a thumb? More research needed I guess!
Anyway, the Lotus is just a normal red, no metallic or pearl, even though the pic might show it might have gold in it. It was a mess when I got it. The owner only picked it up that day. I might once working out the pic problem do a wee show & shine thread with some before & after shots if anyone is keen?
