Hello, everybody! I've been lurking for a few weeks... finally decided to register and say hello.

My name is Suzanne and I live in Upstate NY, about 2 hours north of NYC. I work with horses full-time and have a small part-time photography business.

My dad is a "car guy" and taught me proper wash & wax basics when I was a kid (along with basic car maintenance). Since then, it has always made me nuts to see people scrubbing on their paint and using dirty towels, lol!

One month ago I purchased my quartz blue pearl 2013 Subaru Impreza. Love my first Subie and love the color, but my 2 previous cars were white (high mileage Fords)... within a day I could tell that keeping this car looking great was going to make me a bit OCD, lol!

The winter has been so cold and nasty up here this year. So far, my Subie has been stuck with only frequent rinses at the local coin-op to keep the winter road crud to a minimum. I had picked up a big Meg's kit the week I got the car and swapped out my old MF for a stack of nice new ones... just waiting for a day off with decent weather.

Then I stumbled onto AG when Googling how to take care of alloy wheels... oh my! For the past few weeks I have been reading Mike's articles, watching videos and digging through the forums. My AG wish list keeps getting bigger and I'm sensing a DA in my near future.

I'm sure I will have questions along the way, but I already feel like I know a lot more than I did before finding AG. And yes, I will bring out my big Nikon DSLR to take photos :)

You will be getting a da soon, trust me, I joined and then went out and bought one. Great tool to have. Take a look at collinite line of wax from Utica Ny, they are very popular here and are reasonable. Think about it like this. Your work is less to maintain if you do it properly the first time.

Thank you, everybody! :)

Sicoupe - yep, I'm definitely hooked already!

Bill1234 - Thanks! I have Collinite 845 in my AG wishlist :xyxthumbs: Been reading some of the Collinite threads on the forum and like what I've read about it... especially the winter protection part.

That's kind of the theme around here... :D

Don't blame me.... :bolt:

Already looking forward to the pictures!
