Hello!
I have been "lurking" this forum for a few months now, trying to gain more knowledge about detailing. I figured I may as well make an introduction and start posting.
I am 31 years old and reside in Quebec, Quebec Canada. I have always kept my vehicles clean. Wow, I've only been on this forum for about 12 months but I've already learned so much.
I bought my 2006 Volvo XC90 and decided that I loved the color so much I want it to always sparkle.
I have some experience with a rotary and DA Porter Cable. That's when I decided it was time to update my tools. I bought a new 6" backing pad,a couple of LC pads along with some Megs compound, Wolfgang polish and some Wolfgang sealer and finally Meguiar's Gold Class Carnauba Wax
Last Friday night after work I washed the car with some Poorboys Citrus, dried it off and pulled it into the garage. I clayed the flat surfaces and then polished it out. I did compound the entire car because the finish was in not pretty good shape. (winter driving, Salt and Sand...)
I bought many LC pads, so I applied 3 coat of the Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0, by Porter Cable and let it dry for an hour, wait 12 hours, applied, dry, applied...
Thanks,
Alex.
