Hi! Long time car washer, first time poster, yadda yadda. I've been washing my family's cars for years as I've always enjoyed it, but just now getting into full detailing out of of necessity: I've just aquired a 1998 SUV that needs some serious, serious paint restoration (that'll get its own thread come Monday.) I live in coastal Florida, an area who's slogan should just be "Our salt air laughs at your freshly waxed car". Cars I am currently responsible for the care of are a '97 Civic and the aforementioned '98 CR V. Yeah, they're old cars, but I wax them anyway :-) I am a lover of crime shows and bad movies. And that's...all I'm willing to reveal about myself. I prefer to be slightly anonymous on the net. Nice to virtually meet you all!
 
Welcome to Autogeek. Do you like any good movies? Crime shows like: Elementary, NCIS, Castle, How to Get Away with Murder, Sherlock, Murdoch Mysteries?

You may want to look to switch from waxes to sealants or coating to maintain the paint on your cars. They will last much longer and protect better.
