Well, I've lurked on the forum for long enough and have decided to say hello. I have been an automotive hobbyist for a number of years now and am so glad to have stumbled onto Autogeek. It's good to see so many of you have a special place in your heart, like me, for the way the sun glistens off the polished curves of a beautiful automobile. It kills me some times living in the Pacific Northwest because of the numerous rainy and overcast days. A sure sign of rain is that I just washed my truck.

The good news is that I found this forum and the tips I've learned here will add a little sun to my grey days. Thanks to all the knowledge so many of you have shared with all of us and I promise to add what I can as time goes on. I've been detailing purely as a way to indulge my Type A personality. Nothing brings me more joy than spending a Saturday in the garage knee deep in tire dressing, carnauba, and microfibers. My small arsenal has been limited to "box store" products like Meguiars and Mothers. Each of which have been nothing but good to me, but now my interests are set on Pinnacle, Wolfgang, and more.

Now as long as my wife and bank account will allow me to pursue this new found mecca, I feel that there are a number of great products out there just waiting to be smeared, rubbed, and buffed all over my Tundra.

Welcome to AG, sounds like your already addicted.:buffing:

Welcome to AG, there is so much good info on this site. I found other members to be more than willing to help in threads or via pm.

Thank you for the warm welcome guys. I am extremely impressed by the wealth of knowledge so many of you have. The fun part is implementing the things I've ready and taking my detailing to a whole new level.

Your right Gary, I've been bit by the buffing bug. My Porter Cable just came in last week from AG and I LOVE IT!! (better not yell that to loud, don't want the wife to get jealous) I haven't tried the XMT products yet. Between the rain and a few snow storms I think I'll wait till we get some sunny day first. I did use the buffer with some Meguiars NXT 2.0 wax and finished it with some UQD. Looks 100% better than when I do it by hand and tool half the time. Now if spring will ever get here so I can unleash the Pinnacle shine!

From one coast to another Welcome to the AG Forum.

Post up pics if you got them.
