Hey, I am Alex. Yep I live in South Dakota. Not where Mount Rushmore is, that's West river. I am East river where it is completely flat, boring and windy as heck! The winters are really cold so detailing is a summer thing here and if your lucky, the fall and spring.

I have been detailing for about three years. I have come a long way in terms of knowledge since when I started. I live in the country so I do a bunch of highway driving, which I like. Driving in town with all of those people isn't my thing, especially in the high school parking lot!!! No damage from the parking lot as of now! In South Dakota you can drive when you are 14, so I have been for about a year and a half. I started driving in Junior High!

I have my own car that my parents leased for me. It is a 2012 GMC Terrain SLT-1. It's quicksilver metallic with gray and black leather interior. Love my car to bits! Want a Camaro when I trade in (not going to happen). Probably go for a Buick when my family trades in though. Possibly thinking of buying not leasing. Since it is a lease some people say it is dumb to keep it so nice but for me it's fun and rewarding. I love a clean car!

Ordered a PC DA polisher just yesterday, which I am excited about! Lots of stuff to learn before it gets here and I actually use it! Have been doing a lot of research so I think I will be ready.

Alex

Welcome aboard Alex!

You can read all you want, but actually using the DA is the best way to learn. Once you master the technique it should be a cake walk.

Hi Alex,
I lived in North Dakota, Grand Forks, for eight years while in the Air Force. I loved that part of the country, nice folks and many good times. Yep, it gets a tad bit cold.

Welcome! Lots of great information on here. I read lots and have learned a ton. Good to have you aboard.
