Hey guys!! I just wanted to stop by and introduce myself. I'm 26 years old and live in good ol southern california. I work a full time retail job monday through friday. I jump at any oppurtunity to wash up my own personal vehicle and make it look show room ready!! I've never detailed another persons vehicle but I plan on starting my own business here soon, just on the weekends. I have about ten different types of "hand wash" places in my area, but they all do crap jobs :nomore:!!! I'm determined to make a name for myself in my area. Anyways, I hope to get to know some like minded individuals in my area and possibly take a few detailing classes. Thanks to the mods for letting me join this forum.

I am from Southern California as well. I am currently in Corona, Ca.

Where are you located? I've been considering having a meet up over here, but more on that later.

I detail cars for customers on weekends, but I concentrate more on school and I also detail for a body shop. I'm actually titled as a buffer there but I also detail the cars there too, which is wash and get the car ready for delivery.

:welcome: I'm also from SoCal. Orange County to be exact. There's some great detailing classes around here, so hopefully you can join in. I know Meguiars has a Thursday night detail session you could jump into.

Like Art mentioned, we also like to get together from time-to-time. That's how I met him as well as Ivan (AKA "theblob640"). We met up with a bunch of other guys to detail a friends car and try out new stuff. Here's proof these two were having a good time.

I think Ivan finally pushed Art over the edge to break the bank and get a Rupes.

I am currently located in Upland CA. It sucks cause I currently live in an apartment so I don't have the freedom to wash as much as I'd like to. Wow you guys are all so awesome, I definately see myself sticking around. I work mostly on my car, 2012 Mitsubishi Lancer in BLK. I usually find myself at the local car wash and use the drive in bays. I have such a passion for this hobby I figure that if I get good enough I might be able to make a few bucks on the weekends. I'd like to join in on the next meet, I have a lot to learn!!

Haha, because of the meet, I finally decided to purchase the Rupes and never looked back. Good purchase!

I agree, I got to try check out the Flex and Rupes that day. I also made the Rupes purchase

I believe Upland is right next door to Corona. You could swing by my place and try out different tools, techniques, machines etc...

Yea this meet was a good time.... a lot of "geeking" was going on. Especially about boutique waxes by a couple guys :laughing: :laughing:
