Hello new member from Socal (Inland empire).
I would just like to send out a big thank you to the entire Autogeek forums for which I have been studying and learning so much from for the last several weeks. I have always been basically your average wash the car once a week and wax once in a great while type of person nothing more, I have always been a car guy but never knew such a vast industry existed around just detailing cars.
My first experience came when I was trying to correct some paint on a Black 2003 Silverado I own which had been sitting for quite some time, the paint was needless to say in bad shape. I started out attempting just to wet sand the paint which led me to needing a buffer and compounds/Polishes etc, so I picked up a cheap rotary which led me to do even more research, and after watching many of Mike Phillips videos I decided to get a PC7424XP and some pads which have worked great.
From that point on my entire perception has changed about maintenance and detailing a car and I have since been trying out many different products waxs/sealants compounds/Polishes and pads on as many different cars as I can get a hold of. Its really turned into a passion of mine that is enjoyable and for that I thank all of you.
