Hello all, my name is Klay. The name Metalcoffin comes from my drag racing days. I used to joke around saying that if this car get any faster it's going to kill me, and I loved it so much I wanted to be burried in it! I've always pretty much been into cars ever since I was able to pick up a wrench/screwdriver. In my early days after college I used to work in the automotive industry, mostly service, but I do have some autobody and detailing experience. Not a newbie as they say but far from a professional. Looking forward to joining in some good conversations where I might learn me something and possibly make a few friends along the way.

Have a good day,
L8R~Klay:buffing:

Drag racing days? If you're a dinosaur like me, that'd be the old St Louis International Raceway with its roller coaster like last 600', or MAR ("Where the big ones are!") in Wentzville.

Then in the late 70s/early 80s it was I-55 in Pevely for some 1/8 mile action.

Ah, those were the days.

BTW, welcome to AutoGeek. I'm in South County.

Welcome! I was through St. Louis last week going to Branson. Don't care for the traffic, lol. Almost got side-swiped by a garbage truck.

Welcome! I spent most of my life in STL (west county) but recently moved to Illinois. I'm still in STL frequently to visit friends and family though... great city to be in!

I grew up in StLouis, graduated Webster Groves in 83

Nice. When my parents split while I was younger my mother moved to Webster. There were a few schools I went to over there and I cant remember the names of them. Dang. Just looked it up. Bristol school off W Lockwood and Gary ave

I know there is a small cafe over there or was by the name of "Cool Beans" I used to ride my bike up their for slushies. I also used to go over to the resturant Faratto's off Manchester Road
