Drag racing days? If you're a dinosaur like me, that'd be the old St Louis International Raceway with its roller coaster like last 600', or MAR ("Where the big ones are!") in Wentzville.

Then in the late 70s/early 80s it was I-55 in Pevely for some 1/8 mile action.

Ah, those were the days.

Ha ha yep! The ol washboard with the night club in the middle of it all, only in E.STL would one promote drinking and racing.:lol: Never officially raced at I-55, they were closed and it was after a dirt track event a buddy and myself decided to make a run down it.:hotrod2:

Welcome! I was through St. Louis last week going to Branson. Don't care for the traffic, lol. Almost got side-swiped by a garbage truck.

It was probably an Illinois driver! I swear they hand out DL's in cereal boxes!

Welcome to AGO. My home town was Arnold.

When I was itty bitty my family lived there, think it was called Maxville at the time but shortly after became Arnold...I kind of remember the water tower being built.

Welcome! I spent most of my life in STL (west county) but recently moved to Illinois. I'm still in STL frequently to visit friends and family though... great city to be in!

I grew up in StLouis, graduated Webster Groves in 83

I graduated from Lindbergh 94. Seems like we have someone from every decade on here!
