Hi everyone my name is Craig and I'm excited to join the forum. I've been reading posts and gathering info as a guest for several weeks. Over that time I've moved from otc products and swirll inducing wash/wax practices to two beautifully detailed rides.
My first attempt at paint correction began by hand with several apps of megs ultimate compound, swirl X, show car glaze followed by hi/tec 26 liquid. Backstory, my 07 Grand Caravan spent it's first year as a rental and the dark blue pearl paint looked pretty bad in the sun. Tons of rotary car wash scratches that really hid the pearl. As a daily driver I didn't remove all the RIDS but was very pleased with the swirl free results. This early success just turned into an addiction. I quickly moved from hand app. to a 6 in ryobi ROB from HD that saved time and yielded even better results on my wifes 08 Avenger. Now I've moved up and have an original 7424 PC pads assortment and other goodies on the way. Trying to upload pics. Hope it works
