Hi, I'm Steve from Alberta. Pretty new into all of this DA polishing and Waxing thing. I own an 09 Deep Water Blue Dodge Caliber SRT4.

I Picked up a new 7424xp and some Lake Country pads. Been doing a ton of reading up on here (man there is a lot to take in lol) and will hopefully do my car within the next week or two.

One tiny question though, Can I/should I use a paint sealant and then wax the car? or would a coat of wax or two be good enough.

anyway's, I just wanted to say hi and intro myself.

Cheers!

Sealant will protect your car like wax but sealant will last longer. You can, however, top off the sealant with the wax to give it a nice look.

I've done this for my own cars. I do let the customers know the difference between the two and offer the was on top of sealant for an extra charge depending on the wax they choose.

Keep warm

Thanks, I will be putting on the Blue Velvet wax from DODO Juice, I figured it would be a better to use sealant then maybe wait 12hrs and then wax.

:goodpost: OMG This is hilarious!!

Welcome To Autogeek Online Steve!!

Alberta, Canada or New England, winters weather is the harshest on the planet and the best protection I've been able to apply is a quality sealant then a wax like Collinite 845....

Thanks for the Suggestion. I'm going to take a peek at it right now.

Welcome fellow Canuk!!:welcome:

I'm sure you meant the Great WHITE North!! :xyxthumbs:

These SRT 4 are fast right !

Steve welcome. Im also from Alberta. The local shop i buy from in Edmonton recommended Collinite 845 for our harsh winters. I have been pretty impressed so far. I usually stick with what professionals recommend. Remember a lot of people on here live in warmer climates so some of the products suggested wont always work well with the winter if it is an all year around driver.

Yeah, These cars can go pretty good. No complaints other than the amount of money I've laid down in mods lol.
