Hello all.
Glad to be here. Gonna try to learn all I can about detailing. Maybe make a few bucks from it! Then maybe I can afford a car worth detailing!

There are a lot of videos and how to articles that will guide you through the detailing process. Most of the people on this forum are very knowledgable and are willing to share to help others improve at this craft that we call automobile detailing .

Saugerties NY. East of Woodstock south of Albany.
I have done a little auto racing, kart racing and now mostly racing on my own two feet.

I hope to return to racing in some capacity in the near or distant future. Dirt ,pavement or karts. Makes no difference to me.
 
wow Miranda Richmond VA. is far from Whitehall. As a truck driver I have driven through Whitehall a thousand times. You also have a biz am interested in learning about. Nice website.

Yeah the economy was killing us up in Whitehall. No work. Each year we kept getting deeper in debt.
We did some research and ended up down here in Richmond VA. So far we started a small detailing business and Autogeek has been the reason we have had good success.
All the Enthusiasts and Pro's here will help you out.

The economy in Saugerties and the rest of NY is not so great either. I am looking to do something about it. I am looking to take the next step. Any recommendations? I am ready to learn all about detailing.

I started learning all the basics, better products, invested in better tools (Porter Cable DA, Hot Water Carpet Extractor), and learned everyday on forums like these.
In Richmond there are office buildings that we started doing basic washes, but later we moved on to more in depth full details. It took some time, but we established some customers that have been long time clients.
If you can try to get Mike Philips book
Mike Phillips Detailing Book & DVD Combo, how to detail, how to use a polisher
It will show you all the details you need to start plus more in depth knowledge about paint care. The PDF version has links to forum posts and other links to Autogeek.net
