Hi everyone!

I am soccer05 and I am glad to be here. Over the last couple of weeks I have been surfing the Autogeek forums and slowly learning how to properly detail a car. I recently bought a 2010 Mercedes C300 and trying to mantain the look as much as possible.

I am going to start prepping my car this weekend for the winter. I will be using the Meguiars clay kit and collinite 845.

I'm looking forward to learning alot from this forum!

Thanks man. I currently live in Alexandria so Herdon isn't too far away.

Everytime I hear the traffic on the radio they always mention WoodBridge has bad traffic lol

Yeah 95 south is terrible. You never want to go down that route after 2:30.

Thanks guys. Yeah I take 95 South going back home but I get off at exit 176A. I have been doing this for a year now and its not that bad. The traffic usually starts after exit 176 so I am lucky ;-)

Off topic, but have you been to Valentino's off of N. Beauregard or The Chicken Place off of Leesburg Pike? I used to live in Alexandria off of Little River Turnpike.

No, I haven't been to any of those. But I've heard great reviews for Valentino's pizza. I might have to go try it out soon.

DEFINITELY hit Valentino's up. The pizza is the best in town...definitely not NY pizza, but close to it. The Valentino's baked ziti is awesome...get some garlic knots with the ziti. The Chicken Place is over by that big ole target on the left side...Chili's is right behind it. The Chicken Place is Peruvian style chicken. I'd hit up Valentino's AND The Chicken Place atleast once a week...I used to work off of Beauregard and got the whole office hooked on both of those places.

I am actually hooked on Chipotle right now but its time for a change :xyxthumbs: I will definitely hit up the pizza place this weekend. Thanks for the tip!

I bet you miss the chicken and pizza place now since you moved to Woodbridge lol

I'll stop at The Chicken Place (and yes...its called "The Chicken Place") every now and then if I take the beltway home. I've driven to Valentino's from Bowie, MD just for some Pizza. I brought my fiance there-who is from NYC. She and I LOVE food...so we'll travel for good eats.

We met a family friend in Delaware a few weeks ago. She brought down some ceviche from a local spot in the Bronx, NYC. Yes...we're THAT serious about food. A week after, we drove to Baltimore (near Penn Station) for a couple of slices of pizza, ate in the car, and then turned around and went home...Friday night date night LMAO!

I drive a 2010 Acura TSX and she drives a 2010 Lexus RX350.

Man you weren't lying about traveling for good food. I am actually trying to move to downtown Baltimore by next year.

Nice cars, better get them ready for the winter!

They've done ALOT of "revitalization" downtown Baltimore. I remember when it was either too chitty or too hood to even consider living there. D.C. followed suit and has really revitalized, especially down by the new stadium.

I JUST finished my fiance's ride yesterday. I did an ONR wash, polished with Wolfgang Finishing Glaze, hit it with some Griots Garage pre-wax cleaner, and then machine applied Collinite 915.

On my car I washed, clayed, polished with Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover and Finishing Glaze, hit it with Griot's Garage pre-wax cleaner, machine applied Collinite 915, and layered that with some Swissvax Concorso. I also applied 2 layers of Collinite 915 on the rims.

I'm waiting for a nice sunny day to take pictures. I may not get that chance after this gorgeous weekend we just had.

Yeah they definitely have. I trying to find a place in Canton which is supposed to be nice.

Hopefully this weekend will be nice so that I can wash and wax my car with collinite 845. I gotta do it by hand though, I don't have a polisher.

Yeah I heard Canton is pretty nice as well. Alexandria was a bit too crowded for me. I just can't wait to get back to Maryland. I'll be renting my house out and move in June.

Here's hoping for a great weekend for you. 845 seems to be alot of people's favorite here. After you're done post pics!!!
