Parts of Bowie got alittle hood, but overall Bowie is still one of the best communities in PG County. The areas outside of D.C. in P.G. County got real hood because of the "revitalization" that is going on in D.C. Alot of the project housing got torn down and people got kicked out. Had no place to go so they went into Maryland. The people who had homes along major routes into D.C. got vouchers for their homes.

Have fun with the 845. I'm looking forward to seeing your car after its done.

Ahh okay. The one thing great about Bowie is you can get a nice big house for a reasonable price.

I actually work at Fort Meade so Bowie is very close.

From what I've heard Property taxes are high.

I'd love to get a job at Ft. Meade or that "other" place out there. Thats actually what I'm aiming for when I move out there. There or some place in D.C.

You live in Alexandria and work in Ft. Meade?!?!

Yeah I've heard the same about property taxes. Unfortunately my commute sucks everyday, its about 49 miles one way. Its only for a temporary time though, until I find a place in downtown Baltimore. Its not too bad cause I leave really early in the morning and no traffic then but its always going back, I hit traffic.

Whats kind of job are you looking for? IT, finance? etc...

Good GAWD! 49 miles? And here I am complaining about my 33 miles each way sitting in bumper to bumper traffic for about 45 minutes.
