Hello, I am Robert from Clermont, FL which is about 30 miles due west of Orlando where we actually have a few hills. In fact, I am about 280 ft above sea level in the nose-bleed section of our (mountains).
Having even a little change of scenery then living in the flat lands is nice. I'm originally from Oregon and we have plenty of everything, flat lands, mountains, rivers, creeks, lakes, ocean, etc. It's very scenic.
It is great to be a member of this site. I just attended Mike Phillips 11th Annual Detail Fest and had a great time. Lots of TV stars and great auto detailing information.
Glad you attended and even better that you had a great time. Just to note... this is actually Bob McKee's 11th Annual Detail Fest, I'm just one of the many lucky employees for his company.
I was in the crowd watching Barry Meguiar and others signing autographs and found myself standing beside Mrs. Meguiar so struck-up a conversation. She is a very elegant lady while at the same time a very down-to-earth person - had a very nice conversation.
I agree. She is very down to earth and what you call... good people. (As is Barry Meguiar).
I'll be posting a couple of cool pictures today of Barry and Karen. I've been trying to get to the many pictures I took during Detail Fest but for the last two days I've been playing catch-up and also taking care of hot projects that require behind-the-scenes work to make happen in the future just like everyone here did tons of behind-the-scenes work before Detail Fest to make Detail Fest happen.
I own a 1957 Chevy 2/DR H/T with a World Products Merlin all aluminum 572i engine
Oh I'm so jealous!
I have a 454 BBC Marine Engine and while I should simply have it freshened up and then install it in my truck I want this engine...
It's a 496 Dart Big M Sportsman
and the rest of the drivetrain to make it a real hot-rod while looking original.
So, I joined this forum to help me keep it looking like a show-quality car. See ya around.
Once a monthschedulele permitting I hold a free class on Thursday nights. We go over mostly machine polishing techniques and I bring in something cool like your 1957 Chevy to work on.
I post these classes to the bottom of the forum homepage to let everyone know when one of these classes is coming up. Maybe you and a buddy can caravan to Autogeek for one of these classes. They are a lot of fun and you can gain a lot of experience in a short amount of time.
Again... welcome to AGO!
