Hello, I joined this forum last week and have yet to introduce myself.
I used to have a :buffing:body shop\detail shop\window tint shop\upholstery shop for about 18 years... I grew tired of all the hassles that went along with being a business owner ....along with the additional hassle of being a woman in a mostly male profession. Believe me I had a lot of loyal customers that it didn't mind that but there was always a smart ass that would come around once in awhile and remind me that he didn't think that I should be paid as same as my male counterpart. :bash:
Also was the too much business one day and not enough the next. I did support myself for 18 years, but I grew tired of the uncertainty and wanted a more secure job! So after working for a few large factories, :surrender: I finally got my dream job or what I thought was my dream job...At least I made good money...for a while.....
I went to work for this man:

ten years later i became crippled from repetitive motion injury's in more than one part of my body....
and of coarse what did this

man do???
what almost any other man would do..... he fired me and denied all my claims!

Now I am on pain meds all the time and can hardly walk...

So now i have no money but lots of time, so I thought I would catch back up on these skills, and detail my truck :autowash:
(sorry if I SOUND a little bitter) lots of pain pills today

Welcome to Autogeek Online!

I remember your first post, it was a good one!

I worked for a company where a lot of employees were hurt from repetitive motions and I've seen the same thing that happened to you happen to others, that is marched out the door.

It's a touch work environment in the U.S. today...

Congrats on running your own business for 18 years, maybe you'll be able to offer some advice to others thinking about starting their own business in our

How to make money detailing cars forum group

:)

yes, I would be happy too!!

what's really cool now is the internet, and all the free information out
there ...free for the taking!!

of coarse we didn't have anything like that back then...
