Help an idiot trying to connect a Power washer and a foam cannon !!!

I think Swanicyouth has the right plan. There are two common sizes 1/4" and 3/8". The cannon is 1/4" (at least mine is) and if you are using quick connects they must be the same size.

I've found it works better to use the gun without the extension and attach the cannon right to the end of the gun - less the long SS piece. It is kind of awkward to have the weight of the cannon out so far that you can't use it one handed.

It took a trip to HD to get the parts to make it the way I wanted, but now I am able to quick connect my cannon and the tips of the pressure washed without unscrewing the long SS wand.

Just make sure that all you pieces are either 1/4" or 3/8" so they match up. (I went with 1/4" because that is what my cannon is)

I just took some phone pics, so excuse the quality, but maybe they will help.

That is a pressure washer 1/4" fitting. Wand tips and couplings are 1/4" The easiest, fastest and in the long run cheapest solution here is to buy a matched set of fittings at your local home building supply or power equipment store and replace both. If the supplied M22 fitting matches handle with the wand removed, replace the fitting on the foam gun and attach it directly to the handle.

OK a second look at the male fitting, it does not look quite right. Get the matched set, see if the male fitting works with the wand end. You can return the female fitting if it does.

The stainless steel fitting (male) may not be the proper size for the female (brass) quick connect. They come in varying sizes. A quick trip to tractor supply or some place similar (HD?) with both the male and female in hand will solve the problem.
+1

Great advice hand! If I ever decide to purchase a foam cannon, I'll get a dedicated gun set up per your method.

So by buying new fittings, the spray tips that came with the machine won't fit anymore uh ?

Ay ay ay. Did you get back to the pressure washer guy and tell him he was wrong and the thing won't fit together? Maybe he will realize his mistake and be able to advise you properly.

That's why I went to him, because he supposedly is the "expert",I won't bother with him anymore,I get better responses here.:xyxthumbs:

No the washer was at Home Depot and the cannon at Amazon.

Go back to Home Depot and have someone help you. They usually have one guy who knows what he's doing, and they are generally open till 10 or so, I know you have schedule issues (also they usually upen up at 6 or 7 in the morning).

Not True!! The more I look at this I think the stainless piece on the foam cannon is wrong.

I registered only to say that the adapter is the good one for the CleanForce. It's only 1mm to long. If you trim it, it will fit and lock perfectly.

Got mine 2 days ago, was expecting a visit to Home Depot according to this post, but a dremel did the job :)
