You posted this while I was typing. Have you found any detailing forums that are more focused in your area that might have reviews on that unit? Sometimes learning about what your going to buy and it's competition is half the fun.

Yes I have been reading a few forums, I'll be honest I was looking to buy a Das 6 Pro Power Plus 900W Dual Action Random Orbital Polisher With Backing Plate, D Handle, Spare Brushes, 6m Cable and Carry Case - 12 Months Warranty, Remove Swirls, Scratches and Recover Oxidised Paint, Apply Polish or Wax https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/7392451979/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_YfgWxbYH2ZAG8 until I came across mike's video demonstrating the flex 3401

All in all it (flex) is a beautifully constructed and the forced rotation makes it even more attractive, however it retails for approximately £300 plus in the UK so not something I have budgeted for.

Don't forget a ferrous remover in your efforts. I never fail to do an Iron X go around before claying.

I will certainly give that a go, I'm really preparing for D Day

Going to get the DA polisher with the clay pad as suggested by Mike.

Still not sure about which lake country pads to purchase for the polishing and paint correction/waxing process?
