Hey I am working on a truck today and did a test panel and it look really good no swirl marks but then I pulled it out of the garage in the sun and there are straight lines I was using m105 with a orange pad with a flex on speed 5 even tried speed 6 and they still did not come out View attachment 24020

Sorry I do not have better photos!

Brian I know its hard for me to see what your talking about. Can you use a finger to point out the areas that you are having trouble and get as close as possible with the camera while still being able to point out the defects?

Do not have a white but I tried a red pad with m205 on speed 3 or 4 also have a gold pad

Were the lines there before?

If not, I would guess this is happening when you're wiping off your polish and not during polishing

I agree that this could be the possible cause.

What kind of towels are being used?

If he tried using a paint cleaner and use 105 but, by hand, then using a terry cloth for removal? You feel this might be helpful Flash Gordon? Just thinking out loud here....:-) By the way how old is the paint?

There are so many things it could be I am afraid to guess. My answer may backfire in my face then I will look stupid and we can't have none of that!!

Having said that, yes, I think using a paint cleaner (wax) and a soft terry cloth towel (NO FABRIC SOFTNER) may be the next logical step

:)

Right! Terrycloth's 100% cotton (as you mentioned) helped me in trouble shooting situations in detailing.

It is a 2006 dodge ram so y'all are saying use %100 cotton towel
