Hey experts!

I've screwed up pretty bad. I was really sloppy about applying Wolfgang Paint Sealant to my car. Now there's these big splotches of white stains I can't get off my car's black plastic trims. I even brought it to a professional detailer and they couldn't get it off.

Any ideas on what I should do?

Both. I was really careless. :iagree::(

If all else fails, you could try using some HD Polish+ or Hyper Polish on a DA at very low speeds. I've used HD Polish+ to remove terrible staining from a customer jeep wrangler where he used nu finish directly over the textured plastic trim and rubber window moldings. I used speed 3 on a GG6 with a 4" Lake country black waffle pad. A magic eraser and some isopropyl alcohol would be effective as well, but the risk of knocking down the pebbled texture is actually greater with a magic eraser.

I assume you've tried Isopropyl alcohol and a brush? And an All purpose cleaner like Optimum Power clean and a brush?

I haven't tried it but I believe Mckee's 37 offers a "plastic trim wax remover" you may want to try before using either of the methods I mentioned above.

I got some on a Mazda CX-5, on the smooth trim. It was the next day too, and used Optimum Power Clean full strength. Looked good as new.

I posted this a while back... my neighbor ran into a pillar and had paint transfer. Regular washing wouldn’t touch the stuff. On the trim I used APC and the mothers brush in my above post. In two minutes those were the results. Hopefully you have good luck with removal. Remember taping off areas or being more caucus saves you a lot of time and stress.

I can't recommend it but when I had this problem the only thing that took it off was goof off. The one in the spray can. Only thing is they say it can ruin some types of trim so try it at your own risk. dont use on vinyl
