All,

I'm pretty new to the forum but have learned a lot. I bought a 07 Tacoma recently and wanted to clean it up. The interior components seemed a bit dirty so that's where I wanted to focus first.

Attached is a pic of the dirt that's on the air knobs. I bought the 1Z Plastic Deep Cleaner but it didn't do anything. Are there any tips to using 1Z or is there any other product that's recommended to clean this off? The knobs are like this as well as the trim around the shifter.

On stuff like that I would normally hit it with my Dupray steamer, or try to agitate with some diluted APC and a raceglaze/swissvax brush.

Is it metal or chrome? Looks like it might be able to be polished with a bit of metal polish.

try some APC on a concours brush to agitate it a bit? One squirt of APC on the end of the bristles and start dabbing and swirling. Let it sit a bit then do it again. Wipe off and see if that does the trick? Here are a couple brushes I am talking about:

Interior Concours Brush

1” Round Detailing Brush

Hope you'll post back and let us know when you find something that worked.

1z deep plastic cleaner is great a product and from what I'm seeming on the silver park that might not even come off using anything. 1z deep plastic cleaner is my go to product. The car is almost 7 years old so not everything is not going to come clean.
