I just received my order from pinnacle today. Included in that order was some DGPS. When I first got it, I shook the bottle and could feel something hard inside. It felt "slushy". Like an Icee. After a minute or two of shaking it felt like everything was smooth. Now when I look at it, theres two parts to it. One is a yellow cream while the other looks like a yellow oil. The oil looks like cooking oil to best describe it. No amount of shaking will change the appearance now. Im just wondering if this is normal.

My last order from pbma had a problem with optiseal. I think it was the weather that affected it. Autogeek quickly fixed the problem but the same thing happened, so now im a little paranoid about "seperation", or polymerization of the items due to weather factors.

So is this normal? Should it be a consistent cream? Or should it look like a 2 part liquid cream/oil?

Thanks everyone. I can take pictures if needed.

I am deffinately no expert or chemist but it sounds like your product is broken. How can you possibly get consistency if you have 2 parts?? Looks like it did not emulsify during the manufacturing process or experienced a tramatic increase/decrease in temperature that forced it to separate. Either way I'd get it replaced. It should never be 2 parts...Looks like the chemicals have separated from the holding agents. Poor processing or extreme temperature change. again, i am no expert but if your product has separated then something is deffinately wrong. Just my .02 cents

Yeah see if Meghan can swap it out for you. I had one freeze on me a while ago, I got it to combine back together after only heating it up in some hot water, and then shaking it for about 20 minutes (I had nothing else to do after soundcheck!)

Damn, I guess its not normal. I wonder whats causing this. 1 bottle of optiseal "polymerized" on its way over here and than the replacement bottle did to, and now this? Do I just have bad luck?

Yea ill pm meghan. I wonder if this affects product performance. With my troubles with the optiseal, in the end they said it wouldnt affect the performance and it was more of a cosmetic issue. I have no problem with that, but if it alters the way its supposed to work, thats another issue.

Sounds like the product froze and separated...

I can send you a replacement bottle ASAP. But, you might want to wait a little bit until the weather gets a little better so this doesn't keep happening.

Either way, the offer is on the table, just let me know when you want the replacement sent out and you can consider it done.

Thats what I call customer service...............

On this same note, is it normal for DGPS to have a little separation even after vigorous shaking? Like mostly mixed but a little yellow oil separate?

Mine is like that, but no hard stuff in middle. Just confirming that it is ok.

Hey matt thank you for the offer. I think I messaged you last time about my optiseal. It sucks that what's causing this is out of our hands. You guys are in florida where I'm sure its not freezing and I'm in san francisco where the coldest its gotten is in the mid 40s.

I haven't paid attention to the tracking but maybe its passing through nevada or some where because I know its been snowing out that way.

I have no clue when to send it since I doubt its the weather over here or there that's causing it.

I don't want the same to happen with this as what happened with my replacement optiseal, where it also polymerized.

And yea AGs customer service is awesome to say the least. Most other companies would fight it till the end while AG quickly resolves problems no questions asked which is why ill continue to shop with them despite a few snags.

Its funny you mentioned this because I bought wolfgang paint sealant and had the same issue and the description of the cooking oil is perfect when i went to pour it on the pad it poured yellow cream and yellow oil.... I still used it got the shine and smoothness... but now I'm wondering too.

My pinn paint cleansing lotion looked the same and i live in Fla and the product was from fla,Matter of fact i bought a gallon of it .I noticed it when i was taking some out and putting it into a small squeeze bottle. Will have to take another look at it

Hey jam, that's good to know I'm not the only one to have this problem. Man I thought I was on a bad luck streak or something. That's even better to know the performance wasn't affected.

Too be honest if it wasn't for my problems with my optiseal I probably would have just shrugged it off. I'm just a little more weary now because of that. Maybe I'm being too cautious but better safe than sorry.

Thanks AG. Hands down you guys are the best business I've ever dealt with period, not just with detailing suppliers but with any retailer.

Dsoto.....Your absolutely right AG is the best I'm addicted to it on the forum everyday and buying something almost every week..lol....But yeah I used it on my 09 Audi A4 BLACK!! and it looks amazing just shake it Alot. Good Luck!!!:buffing:
