Hey Guys,

I'm not 100% sure if this is the correct section to post in (sorry if it's not) but i'm trying to find a few old Meguiars waxes purely for nostalgia and to add to the collection. I check the usual places here in the UK and also eBay (including US site) but never come across anything. I've also had Meguiars try without luck to source some so i thought i would reach out on their recommendation and see if any of you guys could help.

The first waxes i ever bought were Meguiars Gold Class Paste Wax, And Cleaner Wax (paste) in plastic jars that had a seperate hollow lids that held the applicator (they also had a Meguiars M cut out of them) I would say they would be about 15-20 years old now at a guess but may have been available long after this after the metal containers came out. And also the original NXT Paste Wax.

I know this may be a bit strange to some, But they are of great nostalgia to me as they introduced me to what's become a true passion. I bought them in the US and brought them home to Scotland with me before Meguiars was launched here. If any of you are collectors and could point me in the right direction i would really appreciate it. I know there are a lot of Autogeeks out there that like this kind of thing. Mikes collection is unbelievable!

Thank you!

Ross

Mike phillips would be the one to ask. He has all the cool old meguires wax's. Original is more like it!

Ahh, much nostalgia indeed.

To find such a unique detailing product one would need to look no futher than a fellow autogeek member's storage area.

Not in pristine condition, but not bad either.

You can have it for the cost of shipping or we could trade if you have something I would be interested in trying. It's just collecting dust here.

Hey Mantilgh!

That's the ones, Wow! Takes me back just looking at them. That's very generous of you indeed. I will gladly cover shipping, It's not too expensive to send most waxes worldwide. As for trades, We could do that too. Just depends on what you're after :)

Is there any wax remaining in there?

Thank you, Ross

Sorry for the delay.

A correction to my PM; I looked again and the wax is fuller than I said and the cleaner wax is less than I said, maybe less than a 1/4 left.

I don't remember using it that much, I must have been really slathering it on back in the day. :dunno:

Does anyone know what would be the most economical means of shipping this to the UK?

Haha i think we all used too much back in the day. Any help for Matt regarding shipping is appreciated. Your postal service may surprise you, They are partnered with our Royal Mail but we have all the big couriers here also
