I recently went through the Meguires 2 step swirl remover system. It did a great job taking care of the swirls however I still have a couple areas that have deeper scratches I'd like to try to get rid of if all possible. The Meguires kit did help hide those areas a bit which I am glad for but I would like to explore trying to get rid of them completely. I think it might be doable with maybe the next step up polisher pad. The most aggressive pad that I have used so ar was the one the kit came with (orange).

So my question is what all do y'all think I need? I really don't think I need to make a big leap as far as aggressive materials used. My thoughts are maybe just use a step up more aggressive pad with the same 201 compound.

Thoughts?

I would use something more aggressive than 205. I would step up to 105 and maybe step down a pad.
If that didn't work then step up a pad.

I miss typed that I used both compounds starting with 105 and the the 205 to finish

I have no idea what the megs 2 step swirl system is, but good luck. I'm sure one of the meg's fanboy army can help you out.

First I would suggest can you feel the scratches with your fingernail if you lightly run you nail across the scratch.

If your nail catches then the only way is a repaint or touch up.

I would also suggest that you take pictures of the scratches so others can diagnosis and provide a solution.

My nail doesn't appear to catch on the scratches so I think I'm good there
