That guide will give you a little insight but it is nearly impossible to learn how to use a rotary just by reading. Polishing with a rotary has a lot to do with the pad selection, machine speeds, tempo, control and pressure. I use small pads a lot and they seem to have a lot more control but take longer to correct a panel. Work slow, but never stop moving and always be careful of that edge because a paint burn is easy to make but impossible to remove.
