Our teen center is doing a car wash and some of the cars have caked on brake dust which is why I purchased mothers wheel brushes. We are going to use car wash soap to clean the wheel and meguiars gold class to wash down the cars. Is there a certain way I should be rubbing the wheel with the car wash soap?

More important than the direction or method of rubbing is the pre-rinse of the wheel itself.

I suggest a pre-rinse and shot of diluted APC prior to actual wash process.
5 gal. APC around $35 at big box store...dilute according to label... makes quite a bit.
My two cents hand...good luck and much $ucce$$ to your organization in your endeavor!

I kinda meant since we are just using wash soap will it harm the wheel if I rub differently than a normal wheel cleaner

I don't know the answer specifically but if the soap provides enough lubricity I don't forsee any problem. Besides, the typical customer that you will see won't see anything other than clean or semi-clean wheels anyway.:buffing:

true, most people who come in through the car wash dont know what wheels they have or dont even wax or wash their cars lol. Im sure using the soap for both parts is good

thanks for the help
