I've been living in an apartment for the last four year and am finally making the leap into home ownership. I will finally have a garage! I only detail my own cars, (2011 Mustang, Toyota Matrix), but it'll be nice to have my own space.

Here's where I'm looking for suggestions. I'm interested in buying in gallons and in concentrate in order to keep costs down. I'm not very familiar with Chemical Guys stuff but I know they have some good concentrate products. Any other additional garage tool and accessory suggestions are greatly welcomed. Here are some of my ideas:

1 Gallon Products:
Meg's APC+
Meg's Window Cleaner
Griot Spray Wax
Griot Speed Shine
Griot HD Wheel Cleaner
Car Wash? - I'm looking for something to use with a foam attachment on a pressure washer. I'd like something that can strip wax and also something for regular washes. Although I plan on using ONR mostly.

Garage Accessories:
Shop Vac or Wall Mount
Pressure washer w/ foaming attachment
Hoses and nozzles
Decent 5 gallon buckets w/ grit guard
Trolley, cart and/or stool
Lighting
Epoxy floor
Storage units/cabinets

The rest I think I can handle with small quantity purchases (polishes, sealant, waxes, tire dressing, etc).

Look at 4' T5 High Output florescent lighting, F54T5 HO bulbs.

Sterilite makes some inexpensive but decent plastic garage cabinets, shelves and drawers. Lightweight so it's easy to ship, install, wall mount, etc. Waterproof so it's easy to keep clean.

Look at UcoatIt for epoxy flooring. I think it cures faster than other epoxy floors. If the floor will be exposed to any sunlight, you'll need to coat the epoxy. Epoxy doesn't take UV well.

Others: fans, AC/heat, air compressor, cord reels for electric cables and water hoses, utility sink, work bench, tool rack, pegboard, wall hooks, insulation, radio.

From someone who has all of this in their garage, including A maxjax lift. The only thing that is necessary is AC/heat. You can have all the tools in the world but if it's too hot in your shop, the tools will just sit there. Even a nice window or portable AC unit will make a world of a difference. It doesn't really get cold enough here to need a dedicated heater so I just use a shop heater.

A small refridgerator for beer and soda comes in handy.

:props:

I agree with absolutely every suggestion.

And as someone that has many of them, and is getting more, I have one absolutely necessary suggestion.

You need a stool to sit on and a little table to put your beer and nachos on.

So that after you have washed, polished, waxed, changed the brakes, plugs, supercharger or whatever. You have something to sit on afterwards and enjoy looking at your pride and joy glistening in drop light, K-mart cheapo fixture, or crystal chandeleir.
