I was just thinking the same thing.Almost looks like rust in the photo. If so, I'm not sure what will get it. Another option that it sounds like you haven't tried is an organic cleaner. I would try a pet urine type product and steam if you have it.
I know this sounds crazy or dangerous but... I had received a sample (gallon) of FC-1 Floor and Grease Trap cleaner from "Strata International" for testing in the auto detailing field.
FC-1 is an all natural "Microbial Digester" type of cleaner. The fresh, live microbes digest hydrocarbons, (think very fresh and concentrated batch of Nature's Miracle) this cleaner is the only thing I have used that will remove rust stains in carpet like the one you have in the photos.
With all the choices we auto detailers have, I haven't ordered any FC-1 after testing but it did work very well in all the areas that I have tested it in.
