Help me ID these spots on my trim

Hi all, I need some help from the forum identifying what these spots are on my windshield rubber trim.

I have tried IPA, Spot Remover and Eraser all with no luck. I have always been careful to tape off trim when polishing so it would surprise me if it's polish residue.

I would be surprised if a trim coating wouldn't cover these up.

Have you tried a soft brush and APC ?
 
those pics have the spots really out of focus so it's hard to totally ID them, but if they are what i think they are, i'd hit it with an alkaline APC and an old microfiber. scrub it in a test spot with that combo and see what happens.

the dope in my signature applied DLux in a rush and/or incorrectly and caused this to happen on my wife's new Audi along with polish or compound dust on some pieces (and in every single crack on the vehicle). i had DLux installed to PREVENT the spotting from happening.

i'd use Optimum Power Clean for your situation...full strength or 1:1 at the least. and like i said, an old MF to scrub with. if i'm doing a long strip, i'll doing it during a wash OR have rinsless wash solution ready to go so the cleaner doesn't get a chance to get everywhere and dry on the paint or glass while i'm working.

I originally had Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant (ETS) on the trim. I have tried diluted APC (I only have Megs), so I guess I will give it a go with 1:1. Also, coating with ETS does not cover up the marks.

It's strange because it looks like a spray like something from my windshield wiper cleaner nozzles sprayed up onto the trim.

Also, I'll try and get some better pictures to post today.

Take another picture, please

Put your fingertip on the spot to give your camera something to focus on
 
Wanted to follow-up. APC 1:1 seemed to do the trick. That with a little elbow grease seemed to remove the spots. Applied WG ETS and its back to looking good again.

I'll post after shots in a bit.

in fact your thread prompted me to update my thread from the middle of the summer regarding an improperly executed DLux installation.
