After you've read through a bunch of threads on here over the next 3-4 weeks, you'll gain a lot of knowledge :xyxthumbs:

Just about any car wash soap/shampoo will suffice.

I started reading three days ago. Joined yesterday and today got the right to post. Yup, alot of info to try and take in. I was trying to cheat, and have the experts here just give me all the magic bullets to buy. Use my coupon and have at it by the weekend.
Specific products will help me a ton. Not trying to be lazy...just trying to buy the best I can right up front!

I recommend the Optimum line. Their car wash, Instant Detailer. Power Clean, car wax and POly-Seal are great and easy. Opti-Bond is a fine tire dressing and Protection Plus is for interior use. Learn from the How To sections on this forum before doing much of anything. Buy some micro fibers espescially Buy One Get One (BOGO) Buy a high quality mit too.

Great car. There is a lot to digest here, so go slowly. Great tips and detailing hints. There's a lot more to keepin her pretty than just soaps and wax's but that is a good start.
Oh, and by the way, welcome to the new addiction

The 303 is for any vinyl or rubber. The 1Z is really for the interior.

I placed the items in bold that I have actually used and loved. The rest I have read lots of good about and plan to try them at some point.

I threw the following chart together pretty quick from info in my own personal chart so hopefully it all came out right. See below

You just really can't go wrong with Meguiars Gold Class car wash :xyxthumbs:

As far as polishing/buffing goes, your paint may be in great shape as it is already. In that case, you could just buy a cleaner/wax type product, and kill two birds with one stone. If the paint was in less than ideal condition, then would you consider obtaining some polishing/rubbing products.

A price range could help everyone too...
And if you can get a pic of your car in the direct sun hilighting the paint condition (swirls, scratches, etc) that would help everyone too!
p.s. sweet ride! Wanna trade??? I have one sexy 04 handa accord:xyxthumbs: haha

The cars paint is perfect . So far I have 8oo miles on the car. Price is not the main sticking point. The best products will be the main point for the car products. I also want to "do the right thing".
So far I got wash car weekly with optimum car wash.

what else do I do weekly, monthly yearly.

cee dog...thanks for the "dummys list" it's very helpful to me

Well depending on the type of protection you use you will want to wax or seal her. Sealants last longer (4-6 months-ish) and carnauba waxes last 1-3 months-ish. I personally would buy a high quality sealant and seal her then buy a nice wax and wax her every month after a wash. Buy a quality tire dressing for the tires for after a wash. Some type of wheel cleaner an APC can work. Leather conditioner. Interior protectant.

Hi and welcome to your new addiction, it can get as expensive as drugs lol.

As far as the best product, it's something that is hard to define you can get 10 different opinions from ten different folks. It depends on color of the car what kind of look you want and how much time do you want to invest in maintaining your car. And most of all what kind of experience do you have at detailing cars ?

On the topic of which wax and sealant are best, definitely make sure its a pure carnauba wax(none of that white turtle wax lol). Wait anywhere from 8-12 hours for the sealant to bond to the surface before you put on your final coat of Carnauba wax.

SSII is not $29. Did you mislabel the DP and SSII? You should compare the full size fuzion w/refill instead of the sample size. The big one w/refill comes out to be $10.94 per oz(2x8oz for $175).

When you wash your car use the 2 bucket method...Always! Look up threads, posts or look on the site it has it there.
I am a hard working college kid with limited funds so I dont spend much money on "expensive" producs but I use quality ones. I use Megs NXT2.0 for a sealant but it seems like everyone loves wolfgang sealant so if money is no issue then try that. I use DP maxwax as my wax. I absolutely love it, it is easy to use and looks great!!! Again it is a $30 wax but it exceeds all my, and many others, expectations. Lots of people talk about pinnacle souverain or fusion and say they love it. I havent used it so I dont know if maxwax works just as well or not.
Regardless of what sealant or wax you decide on you have to have a curing time. After you apply the sealant let it cure "sit" for ideally 12 hrs. You want to keep it moisture free (dont get it wet) and then use a QD (quick detailer) to get the dust off and then wax the car with teh carnauba after the cureing time is up.

Nuff said. No need to bring out the big guns, no need for heavy artillery here, not saying that this thing is absolutely perfect from the factory, cause I'm quite sure that hundreds of cars are delivered all the time that are less than perfect. But rest assured, Aston Martin is a quality car maker, so at this point, I'm still sticking with my original answer, a "Cleaner/Wax" will more than suffice at this point in time seeing as this car is probably absolutely perfect, and you are new to all of this.

The proper way to do it would be:

Wash, Megs Gold Class Car Wash :xyxthumbs:

Clay, any fine/medium grade clay will do. You'll need to lube the paint as you're rubbing/sliding the clay across the paint

Wash, again :buffing: :buffing:

Dry thoroughly. I think a great way to quickly guarantee a dry car, is to use a leaf blower. The forced air pushes water out of areas that you would not normally be able to remove with towels.

Cleaner/Wax, theres a kazillion brands out there :buffing:

How many cylinders does this bad boy have? Is it supercharged, or turbocharged? How fast does the mofo go?

I love the new car. If I owned one, I would bathe it on some high end products like the Swissvax line. The Swissvax Master kit with Concorso would be a good intro kit into the line.

Buy the gallon car wash. Buy Opt Instan Detailer.a QT of Opti-Bond and a bottle of Protection Plus. Join the forum and use code AGO. Your order will ship free. Oh and buy some towels from the BOGO.

Heres the list. How's it looking? Worry about the ragtop, wheels, leather etc in my next post HAHA

Dustop Custom Car Cover Size G3

Optimum Car Wash 32 oz.

Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0

Pinnacle Liquid Souveran™ Car Wax

I would really look at the CoverCraft HD cover. My dad has had one for over 3 yrs. and it is still holding up strong. The 92 Short bed Chevy is always outside and covers 95% of the time. It sheds water, keeps out the dust, doesn't scratch the paint, and it waterproof. I think someone did a product review a while it should be on here.

Car wash soap - I love Poorboy's SS
And the others you have the best money can buy. I have not tired either as they are pricey. (One day!) :props:
