UGH!!! This is the one and only reason I bought Chemical Guy's Citrus Wash & Gloss - to strip the wax safer when compared to Dawn, to start from scratch on client's cars. Now I'm going to have to break something near me.

So... starting over... WHAT IS THE BEST CAR SHAMPOO FOR STRIPPING AWAY ALL WAX, SEALANTS AND PROTECTION TO START FROM SCRATCH AND AT WHAT DILUTION!?

I still like Meguiars Gold Class for a regular wash, after trying many soaps, including CG Honeydew, Maxi-suds II, and many others, it remains the slickest of all the shampoos.

For stripping wax/LSP's, I like to use Citrus Wash & Gloss from CG in higher quantity, as far as dilution ratio is concerned.
 
I really like dg soap, along with optimum . I got some ultima otw . ain't nothing wrong with Meg's gold class either . dg soap can be found at carquest and good class is widely available . I use all of them no complaints . for lsp stripping I use plain cg citrus wash . a lot of cg soaps can be used to strip lsp when used at a higher ratio .
 
I add at least one of not 2 ounces of Dawn to the soap I'm using, which in my case is DG 901. I will either do that at the foaming stage and let it dwell and/or the wash stage. Hope that answers it for you.

I use a similar method.

2 OZ Dawn
2 OZ DG901

4 Gallons of water
