Hello All,

I need to know all things about campus detailing! haha.. I need to find some solutions to be able to clean my car in the parking garage :\ There is ZERO water hookups here!

I am thinking I need a great waterless wash.

I need a great portable / low powered vaccum I can use with a power inverter off of my 4 banger.

Not sure what I can do to rinse anything.. Still havent figured that out :(

Help appreciated :)

Im about to go psycho with my baby so dirty :(

Ryan :)

How about take it to a do it yourself car wash with your supplies and buckets,...... really late at night. At 2 AM take a study break, lol and go was the car. Until you get caught! :D

ok dp wash, now what about a vac? :)

anyone know of some good, small portables ?

I am in your situation right now as well. I have been using the DP 4 in 1 and I just ordered some PB spray and wipe. As well as CG ONE just to see what happens.

One thing I did but the realty company didnt like to much was get an adapter for a sink and than run a hose outside and wash your car with that late at night. If you have a window with a parking lot close to it you can do it if not your outta luck.

What I do when it gets pretty dirty is I go over to the coin op. wash and just use the pressure washer, than I bring it home and use the 4n1. I have used the coin op's lights at night to do waxes and what not and I havent had any problems yet.....

If you find out something really good let me know.

I saw a dewalt wet/dry shop vac that runs off the cordless batteries or you can plug it in at either home depot or lowes today. If I remember right, it was a 2 gallon vac, and priced right around $100.00. Wouldn't have to use a power inverter with it.

You do not have any buddies that live in a house off campus? How about a do it yourself carwash?

i live off campus n still dont have anywhere to wash it :P im thinking about just hooking up a hose to one of the outlets they use for the hose for the water sprinkler...

DP 4-in-1 or Optimum No Rinse...

:iagree: it seems that these were the ones used most last winter for parking lot detailing. How about a long extension cord for the vacuuming and then a little negotiating with businesses that you use.

I might have to look into that :)

Hey Joe! Good to see ya! :)

Part of my plan is to do some detailing for the students up here for some side cash. I am thinking a waterless wash, claying and waxing.

The Dewalt vaccum is fabulous.... :D

I just need to do some research on spot cleaning with hand brushes.

Yeah thats the one I saw.. I can't recommend for or against it because I've never used it.. I don't know how strong (or weak) it is, and I don't know how long it would last on battery power.. The rest of the dewalt cordless line is all very rugged, and lasts quite a while on their batteries, so I can only assume that its as good as the rest of it..
