Help me with a little recognition for Yancy...

Yancy, you deserve serious props for your work. Over the years, I've seen many, many productions dealing with automotive TV. I'm sure there are very talented people involved, but often the point the host is trying to make fails to get accentuated by the production. Having a competent person behind the camera who truly understands the focus of the project and can suitably convey it to the viewers is a rarity IMO.
It's obvious you "get it". Best wishes for continued success.

Bill

Excellent work Yancy...Your hard work does not go unnoticed !!!!

Yancy...you are a natural. It helps when you love your job and it shows in everything that you do for us. Thank you.

Self taught and good at it, quite impressive! Well done Yancy

My hats off to you, Yancy! Your work reminds me of when i was younger, an found out that the little band from texas was just three members and had such a great sound. That made them my favorite an saw them every time they came around! (ZZTOP) So to me your are the one man band playing playing like a symphony! Now if you can come on over a show me how to post pictures. Ha Ha jonathan

I've had a thought for quite some time that would benefit the forum, autogeek site, and show quiet a bit.

Yancy needs a raise!!!

This thread just goes to prove it's true.
lets say somewhere in the range of 7%

EVERYONE AGREE!!!?

Without a doubt, the quality of Yancy's work is always outstanding and now for the first time understanding that he's self taught makes him that much more valuable!

If anyone's take the time to really look at his photos you'll notice the content and composition is nearly perfect every time. The photos are clear and sharp making it very easy for the viewer to comprehend and understand the associated text.

Do a search for some of the car shows and events Yancy's attended and photographed. His shots are much more than pictures. Much of the content coomes from having an eye for detail and making the photo come "alive".

Yancy, Autogeek is very fortunate to have such a skilled professional as your photos and video's visually connect the world viewers to Autogeek....:props:

 Yancy doesn't do my make-up and we don't have a make-up person on our staff, when I typed that I meant to infer the major TV production companies I've worked with "do" have a staff make-up person.
:props:

Great Work YANCY !!!!

Idea. Have Max give a steak/shrimp/lobster gift certificate for Yancy and his significant other night out.

Also, Mike. !!! I'm sure the ladies would be willing to do your make-up, in fact I think they would really have some fun doing it. You would never, never look the same again.

I thought the video looked great, looked like a regular tv production I see when you're on with that Dennis Gage guy on the weekends, good job Yancy!

Now Mike, one thing I did notice that when you were done with the hood of the C5 you took the wash mitt and threw it in the soapy bucket, I know you mean't to throw it in the rinse bucket, right, LOL!

I second a raise for Yancy. His video work and photography make this forum so much better. The videos are interesting not only from a topic standpoint but from a visual standpoint as well. Thanks Yancy and keep it up!

Thanks for noticing that I try to make things different and more entertaining.

Great job Yancy - Takes awhile to learn from scratch and you excelled.... good stuff man :dblthumb2:

Thanks, I try my best to get the point across. To me if that doesn't come across why do it in the first place.

Funny that you mention ZZ Top, they were the very first concert my parents took me to. Saw them in Rapid City, South Dakota, El Loco Tour and even ate lunch with them in the mall the day of the show. Thanks for the compliment, I may look like a calm duck on top but below the water I am running 1000 mph, LOL!
