HELP! My First Kit - Confused

The best advice anyone can give for those kind of questions is to check out Mike's great videos. This will give a basic understanding of the process for polishing paint, I feel like anyone getting into this should have a basic understanding of the process before they jump into it. Once you have a understanding of the basics the best way to learn is to get out and have some fun detailing.
I would also recommend you watch some of Junkman's videos, they are really in depth.

^^^^This^^^^ I too am just getting into this and I had/have the same overwhelming feelings you do. But I watched just about every one of mikes videos and it really helped. I bought the porter cable with 5.5" pads and dove into the meguiars products. The porter cable is very user friendly. Good luck.

I watched the videos you linked me. They helped alot. Looks like you just wipe away with a microfiber.

Question: Can you use the Collinite 845 with a Carnuba wax together since the 845 works itself in and the carnuba stays on top?

845 is a carnauba wax. IMO, it would be pointless to top it with a different brand of carnauba wax. Just apply two coats.

Ok. I know I want the flex 3401. Is there anything else I need to use a 5.5" pad vs 6.5" from the factory? New backplate, etc? If so could you please link what I need? Thanks!

The Flex is great although keep in mind u have more options as far as pad/backing plate sizes with the PC. With the Flex u do not. Just something to keep in mind.

Wrong link. Sorry. Go YouTube and type in dual action polisher comparison. Then look for the CG comparison of the PC and Flex
