Help pricing for trashed 10+ year old Subaru

It's not as bad as I thought it would be but I can't picture someone paying me $350 for that especially if It's a car they are not going to keep I imagine they just want it to look nice enough to make more money. I used to make close to nothing on cars like that, while working for dealers but I did not do headlights for them or trim restoration. If you can get $350ish definetly go for it.
 
Have you thought of charging by the hour? I would say around $400 for the job.

Thanks! Same here, I love when I get interior/exteriors that are trashed because these jobs will shows the best before/after. And get the most reaction from their owners.

If you can get $350 I would take it. Once you get the trash out and blow out the interior with compressed air I think it will make a big diff. If you have a extractor it will make short work of the interior and it may be a good idea to invest 30 minutes to remove the seats. This may save you time in the end. I see about 15 man hours, I've done worse for 250.

Thanks! Yeah I think the whole detail will most likely take 15+ hours. I'm sure I have to hit every spot inside and outside. I will burrow some tools from my dad and try to take out the seats.

Thanks for input. I know what your mean I use to work at Lexus last year, couldn't deal with all the drama so I left. I hated doing production work, and pay sucks.

Sup Alex! I usually don't like charging per hours for these type of jobs, because it can scare clients. I'm thinking 400ish is fair, after 15% off its around 300ish. Which includes full interior, all in one outside, headlights and engine bay cleaning.
 
Update, sent email of price and break down. Landed the job and will be there early Saturday morning. Thanks everyone for input!! :props:
 
That looks like a $450-500 job to me.

2 days assuming 8 hour work days = 16 hours

$450 = $28ish/hr
 
^ Dead on..... This was email sent to the customer. They agreed on price and will also want me to work on the engine bay.

Hey, here is the break down of what its going cost.

Headlights restoration (corrections and sealing) - 50
Interior full detail (steaming everything and extracting carpets and seats) - 170
Exterior deep cleaning ( foam wash with Dawn and APC+, two bucks wash, aggressive clay bar, All in one polish) 235

So for everything listed on top is 455 and with 15% takes it down to 385. I need to break this down into two days because it will take 15+ hours.

Because I didn't check under the hood I can't give a set price.
Engine bay (cleaning and dressing) Starts at 60+ depending on condition.

I'm glad you landed the job because I can't wait to see the after shots you take, It's going to be worlds better. She might want to keep her car once your done with it. :props:
